La Liga side Real Betis have sent congratulations to Celtic after the club were announced as nine-in-a-row Scottish champions earlier today.
The SPFL have officially curtailed the 2019/20 season after 30 matches, ending the campaign on an average points per game basis for clubs who had only played 29 times.
Finishing a massive 13 points clear of second-placed Rangers, the title win is fully deserved and has been celebrated by manager Neil Lennon and captain Scott Brown today.
Congratulations have been coming in from fans and former players around the world, with Betis the latest to offer their thoughts.
Posting on Twitter, they said: “We googled ‘innovative ways to congratulate a really successful friend’ and nothing we didn’t try before came up. Just too many times!
“Seriously, Celtic we are really happy for your #9INAROW! We are proud to share Green and White with you!

Betis are currently back in group training as of today and are preparing for the possibility of the Spanish top-flight resuming.
As reported by BBC Sport, La Liga is hoping for a behind closed door restart from 12th June.
With Bundesliga returning at the weekend and other top five leagues also making preparations, it seems that those with greater resources than the Scottish Premiership are finding ways to navigate the ongoing public health crisis.
Scottish football is now building towards the 2020/21 campaign and it’ll be a glorious sight when Celtic return to the pitch.
