Celtic have always upheld an expectation of not only winning games but doing it with style throughout the club’s history.
Silverware is the number one priority at Parkhead, and nobody, including myself, likes to see that put at risk, a concern that has become widely echoed over the last few weeks following a disappointing winter transfer window.
Nevertheless, two arrivals did come in the door during the mid-season market in the form of loanee Adam Idah and German winger Nicolas Kuhn, with the latter joining for a fee of £3 million from Rapid Vienna.
Inside two impressive cameo appearances for Celtic, Kuhn already scored his first goal for the club against Aberdeen last weekend, striking a heavily deflected effort past Kelle Roos to claim a point at Pittodrie, per Transfermarkt.
Hibernian await the Bhoys tonight at Easter Road, and fans will be keen to see Brendan Rodgers offer another opportunity to the 24-year-old in Leith.
Nicholas Kuhn speaks about Celtic expectation amid fan banner
Kuhn has already featured in the academies of Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and Ajax, alongside gaining first-team experience at Rapid Vienna, meaning he is no stranger to high standards at a big club.
Speaking about a banner displayed by some fans towards the Celtic hierarchy alongside the Bhoys’ expectations, the former Germany Under-20 international has indicated his side will be looking to improve on their display next time out.

He stated [cited via The Celtic Way]: “We have some pressure here because we have to win, and we want to win every game.
“We just have to do better next week. I have played with some big clubs before with the same expectations. It is nothing new for me.”
Nicholas Kuhn has the right mentality to succeed at Celtic
Winning games is the be-all and end-all at Celtic and it seems that Kuhn is well aware of the standards held at Parkhead, which can only be a good thing during his time at the club.
The Bhoys are in the midst of a battle for the Scottish Premiership title and cannot afford to show any weakness in their hunt for a third successive league crown.
Moving forward, hopefully, Rodgers’ men can attack the rest of the campaign with vigour as they look to bring a domestic double back to the Parkhead trophy room.
