Former Celtic striker Moussa Dembele has summed up the dominance he experienced against Rangers during his time in Glasgow with a brilliant social media message today.

Neil Lennon’s team were due to travel to Ibrox on Sunday to face Steven Gerrard’s team in a fourth derby of the 2019/20 season.

However, an ongoing global health crisis put paid to that, with professional football currently on shutdown in the UK.

Due to the cancellation, Celtic have been asking what highlights supporters want to see most on the club’s in-house media channel and far from picking one, Dembele wants to see all of them from his time at the club.

Posting on Twitter, the Lyon striker said: “That’s a tough one… what about when we smashed them for the title at home? the double nutmeg back-heel? The Lustig hat celebration? Jozo tackle? Or when we kept the ball by the corner flag with Patrick Roberts? Too many memories! So… I’ll pick them all!”

Dembele has every reason to gloat when it comes to the derby.

As a Celtic player, he scored seven goals in nine appearances against the Ibrox outfit, winning seven matches and drawing twice (Transfermarkt).

His performances on these occasions were a large part of why he became such a renowned hero with supporters.

Clearly he still enjoys reminiscing about those days even far removed from his spell at Celtic.

There’s no doubt that the absence of football is a bit of downer for many supporters right now but Dembele has lightened to mood with his post, already generating thousands of interactions.

The 23-year-old will always be popular with fans and it seems that no matter how far he goes in the game, he’ll always look back on his Celtic career with similar positive thoughts.
