Reported Celtic transfer target Maik Nawrocki has been asked about his future already this summer.
The Legia Warsaw central-defender is the latest player to be linked with Celtic this summer.
Earlier on Thursday, we brought you a report from Polish journalist Paweł Gołaszewski. Since then, Nawrocki‘s name has been mentioned in the Scottish media, with the Daily Mail‘s Stephen McGowan bringing up the player.
McGowan says that senior sources at Legia have confirmed that Celtic and Galatasaray have made contact about the defender.
He says that the Polish club are resigned to losing the player for around £3.5m this summer.
Three days ago, Polish outlet TVP Sport published an article on the future of Nawrocki. The article didn’t include any mention of Celtic but the details are still pertinent given our interest now.

They say that his transfer fee will “will oscillate between €4-5m”. That equates to £3.5 to £4.3m so it seems reasonable to assume that we’ll be paying a fee in that ballpark if we do manage to get a deal over the line.

The article from TVP Sport also includes some quotes from Nawrocki on his future. It seems like the defender’s future is a big talking point in his homeland.
Speaking after his side’s Super Cup victory over Rakow, in which he played 27 minutes, he said: “I don’t know anything about my future yet. It’s definitely not something I’m nervous about.

“I was focused on fighting for the trophy in the match against Rakow. I wanted to win the Super Cup. Maybe I’ll find out a bit more soon.”
From the reports we’ve received so far, it seems like there is definite interest from Celtic in Nawrocki. Over the coming days and weeks we’ll find out just how much we want him.
From the outside, it looks like this deal could be a goer.
