The Celtic AGM is still bubbling over despite Martin O’Neill preparing for the resumption of the domestic campaign with tonight’s game against St Mirren.
The Celtic boss has already given his thoughts in the annual meeting after the proceedings took a shambolic turn for the worse.
Ross Desmond’s attack on Celtic supporters caused anger at the AGM as Peter Lawwell struggled to take control of what was happening in the room.
As a consequence, the annual meeting was adjourned early for the first time in its history as Celtic fans fumed.
And here, O’Neill shares what was said in the Parkhead boardroom after the Celtic AGM descended into chaos.

Peter Lawwell and Michael Nicholson’s AGM ‘shock’ in the Celtic boardroom
After the meeting, as the Celtic shareholders and fans filtered out, the executives made their way up to the boardroom where O’Neill shared what Peter Lawwell and Hoops CEO Michael Nicholson said of it all.
O’Neill told Celtic TV, “Well we had a little cup of tea in the boardroom afterwards and I think there was just, probably, I think they were expecting a tough time but I think there maybe was a bit of shock as well around the room.
Poll: Do you have faith in the Celtic board?
“I got that impression [that they expected a hard time], yeah. That’s right. And I think that the impression would have been to at least have the opportunity for shareholders to ask some questions about the board and about where the football club is going on from here.
“So maybe try and learn from the past. If the past is recent then we’ve got to try and learn from it.”
Where does the Celtic board and fans go from here?
Well, the fallout of the AGM has been incredible. Many Celtic supporters will believe that the fracture between the boardroom and the Parkhead stands is not fixable.
The inflammatory Desmond statement is still causing anger amongst the Celtic fans and it’s tough to see how this can be recoverable in the long-term future never mind now.
The only thing the Celtic support can do now is to focus on the St Mirren game tonight and whatever happens between them and the board is likely to play out over the next few days.
