Ange Postecoglou is a name that many Celtic supporters would love to see back at Paradise.
Now that Brendan Rodgers has left Celtic, attention turns to who could be the long-term replacement for the Northern Irishman.
Martin O’Neill and Shaun Maloney take temporary charge of Celtic with two huge games ahead in Falkirk in the Scottish Premiership and Rangers in the Premiers Sports Cup.
But whilst the short-term leadership of the team has been taken care of, could Postecoglou make a dramatic return to Celtic any time soon?

Ange Postecoglou ‘plays down’ a potential return to Celtic
Journalist Alex Crook appeared on talkSPORT this morning and gave an update on the possibility of Postecoglou coming back to Celtic and revealed a conversation he had with ‘people close to’ the Australian.
Crook said on talkSPORT, “Ange Postecoglou was one that was mentioned last night. I’ve spoken to people close to Ange this morning, and they’ve played down the prospect of a return, certainly at this stage.
“I think he’s probably keen to take a bit of time out, after what happened to him at Forest.”
So that almost takes care of that. Not an outright no, but highly unlikely. What about the recent links of Kieran McKenna to Celtic?
Could this move come off?
Kieran McKenna could be too expensive for Celtic
Celtic fans will remember how McKenna was linked to Celtic back in 2023 before Brendan Rodgers was appointed to take over from Postecoglou.
And whilst the move to Paradise would appeal, it appears that the Ipswich Town gaffer could prove too expensive for the current Scottish champions.
Crook continued, “Kieran McKenna is being linked in the Scottish media. I would be surprised. I mean, Simon painted a picture of Kieran McKenna as someone who stayed loyal to Ipswich Town.
“It was quite easy when the contract was put in front of him, I would suggest, to stay loyal, and I don’t think he would earn the same money at Celtic as he is, even in the Championship, at Ipswich.”
With so much information swirling around, it will be hard for Celtic supporters to keep up with what’s going on at the club.
As for Postecoglou, would fans be 100% on board if he did return to Celtic? Online reaction suggests, yes.
