Do you remember the seemingly endless furore over Hibernian’s ticket allocation against Celtic for the Premier Sports Cup Final?
The Hibees were initially given a 17,500 allocation for Hampden against Celtic. It caused quite the uproar, with Hibs incandescent about the oversight [HFC].
Jack Ross isn’t even Hibs manager now, but two weeks ago he was less than happy. It caused a brilliant moment in an Ange Postecoglou press conference, being asked about the issue before facing Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League.

Eventually, it was resolved, with Hibs receiving a booster allocation [HFC].
Alas, all that fuss and Hibernian still haven’t sold out their lot, though [Eticketing]. There are still plenty of seats left.
It’s quite a funny scenario, with Celtic fans being tasked with defending an SPFL ticketing policy. It was a bizarre week or so, with the Bhoys painted as the bad guys in this tedious debacle. In fairness, given the fuss made by Hibernian, you’d have thought a sell-out would’ve been a formality.
Hibs will arrive at Hampden with much uncertainty over who’ll be leading them out. Jack Ross was sacked after a poor run of 1 win in 9. That’s despite having led the Edinburgh side to a Premier Sports Cup Final, beating Rangers in the semi-final, too.
Whether Ange Postecoglou will be asked about the motivations of Hibs supporters at this time is unclear.
Celtic fans having a laugh at Hibs’ expense before Premier Sports Cup Final after ticketing furore
Clearly, this is an opportunity for both Celtic supporters and self-deprecating Hibs fans.
It’s pretty embarrassing for the Hibees, given the remarkable fuss that was made about ticket allocation. Obviously, Hoops fans on Twitter have been having a laugh at our SPFL foes’ woes.
