‘When he came from Celtic’: Ramon Vega calls out doubters after Bhoys hero picks up another award

Ramon Vega has called out Ange Postecoglou’s doubters following his exit from Celtic to Tottenham this summer.

Celtic are a bigger club than Tottenham, the only issue is that the team doesn’t have the limelight or money the Premier League can help generate for its teams.

As a result, there are more doubters than believers when an individual, whether a player or manager, does well in Scotland.

The Bhoys fans know too well how well Ange Postecoglou did at Parkhead, his Treble win during his final season is a prime example of that, despite that, the feeling wasn’t mutual when he became Spurs manager this summer.

Well, those who might have doubted the former Australia coach are realising his brilliance now because Spurs are sitting top of the Premier League table and playing a brand of football that has gripped the fans.

After winning the Premier League’s Manager of the Month award for August, Ange Postecoglou picked up the award again for September and Ramon Vega was sure to sing his praises on Twitter.

Big Ange thriving after Celtic exit

“Congratulations Ange, well deserved,” said Vega.

“What were they saying again when he came from Celtic to Spurs? I want to hear it, please.”

Ange Postecoglou, the uplifting character

When the Celtic hero first arrived at the club, the team was in a mess, both on and off the field, including Rangers winning the title under Steven Gerrard.

And despite sections of the media doubting him back then, just like they probably were when he went to Spurs, well, they fell silent pretty quickly.

It’s not just about the results with Ange, but the manner in which he conducts himself to his players and the media.

Celtic felt that in bucket loads and blew the house down on the domestic scene, and so far, he is doing it at Tottenham.
