Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley was seen limping after one of the team’s goals against Rangers on Saturday.
The Danish youth international set up Kyogo Furuhashi‘s opener against our rivals, but it was after the Japanese forward’s second strike that the knock occurred.
In the club’s ‘Unique Angle’ footage (around 1:30 onwards), O’Riley is seen struggling to walk, and helped along by team-mate Jota.
67 Hail Hail has learned that O’Riley suffered a dead leg after being knee’d by a supporter during the goal celebrations.
O’Riley was said to have been in agony after the event, which was totally avoidable.
Thankfully, he was able to shake off the knock and play another 13 minutes before being replaced by Hyeongyu-Oh.

Anfield boss Jurgen Klopp wasn’t happy at all following the incident and we can’t imagine that Ange would be too pleased either had O’Riley been forced to come off or miss subsequent games.
Thankfully, he seems to be fine and in the reckoning for a start at Kilmarnock on Sunday.
