Last season when Celtic completed the double treble there were iconic scenes as crowds flocked to an open bus celebration. The parade went from Dalmarnock all the way to Celtic Park with thousands of Hoops fans basking in the glory of another clean sweep.

If Celtic beat Hearts on May 25th then there will almost certainly be similar scenes in the city. However this year there would be one key difference. The celebration wouldn’t centre around Celtic Park as the final of the Pro14 rugby is taking place there that day. The rugby clash gets underway at 18:30 meaning that Parkhead will be out of action all night.

The Hydro is an obvious choice for some final celebrations. It’s out of the centre of the city and could house a large following. Celtic have used the 12,000 indoor arena in the past, most notably during the Lisbon Lions 50 year celebrations.

It’s unclear whether such a venue would have to be booked out well in advance or if tickets would have to be sold, but Celtic should at least consider the location.
