Former Celtic flop Willo Flood has made some comments that could well annoy the Hoops support.
He has claimed that he wants his former team to lose to another one of his former teams, Aberdeen, in the upcoming Scottish Cup semi-final.
“Celtic is a massive club and one I supported as a kid, but I’d like to see Derek McInnes get that win in the Cup Final” he told the Scottish Sun.
A good time to play Celtic

He also claimed that now is a good time to play Celtic as the club is still trying to sort itself out after the departure of Brendan Rodgers.
“Brendan had Celtic playing the best football Scotland had seen for a long time – but right now they’re still adjusting to a new manager.”

Bizarre comments
Flood’s comments are bizarre coming from a former Celtic player. Why you would want your team you support to lose doesn’t make much sense.

Yes, Flood may have flopped when he signed for the Hoops in 2009. He only made nine appearances in his time at the club.
But that is no reason to decide to turn on your team. He must feel that Derek McInnes did more of his career than anyone at Celtic did.
Neil Lennon will no doubt be interested in Flood’s comments, particularly those about the team ‘adjusting’. No doubt he would like to prove Flood and the rest of the doubters wrong on Sunday.
