Yet more crucial Celtic away games to be snubbed by Sky Sports next month
2 more Celtic away fixtures are set to be snubbed by Sky Sports in December as we continue to be charged extra to watch key Premiership matches this season.
Celtic have important trips to Ross County and St Mirren on December 15th and 18th respectively. Neither match is being screened by the league’s official broadcasting partner as things stand [Sky Sports].
Celtic fans have missed out on watching vital trips to Livingston, Motherwell, and Hibernian on Sky this season due to the fact the broadcaster has refused to show them. Instead, Hoops supporters have had to rely on PPV services from rival Premiership clubs.
Rangers’ trip to St Mirren was shown by Sky just over 3 weeks ago. However, for Celtic’s journey to Paisley, it looks as though we’ll have to rely on another PPV stream.
Celtic will only have 3 more games shown on Sky Sports before 2022. The home clash against Hearts on December 2nd will be followed by the trip to Tannadice 3 days later. Our final televised game of the year will see us travel to St Johnstone on Boxing Day.
4 of Celtic’s 13 Premiership games have been shown on TV this season.

Celtic set for another Sky Sports snub as more important away games are dismissed
When Celtic travel to Dingwall, Rangers will be hosting St Johnstone at the same time. That game also won’t be televised. During our clash in Paisley 3 days later, there will be a full card of Premiership action that’s also going through without being broadcasted.
It’s disappointing that so many big away games are being left out. Sure, Sky are trying to pick their matches carefully, but it shows a disrespect to Scottish football when full rounds are going ahead without one game being screened.
Many Celtic fans will have paid for a Sky Sports subscription believing that a host of away games will be shown for them this season. Come the end of 2021, we’ll have missed 5 of our most important ones. Instead having to fork out extra to 3rd party providers.
Some of these fixtures have been huge for the club too. The trips to Fir Park and Easter Road for example were massive games for Postecoglou and his side. It’s incredible that neither was picked for TV time.
With so many games being snubbed by Sky, you could forgive many Celtic fans for deciding enough is enough with their subscriptions.
With another 2 away-days looking like they’re going to go unscreened, it just adds to the frustration.
