Not that I want to embark on a new relationship on behalf of the Celtic Family or anything, but Yokohama F. Marinos seem like a right classy bunch, don’t they?

They’ve handled this Ange Postecoglou to Celtic business with excellence.

From their supporters gleefully wishing him all the best, to their club president assuring that his style of football will remain as he embarks on a new adventure with one of “Europe’s most famous clubs”, they’ve been brilliant.

The latest from them is a fantastic tribute video posted to their social media accounts this afternoon.

Backed by a stirring soundtrack and brilliant excerpts from Postecoglou’s team talks over the years, no one is left in any doubt about how much he means to the football club.

Can Ange find Yokohama F. Marinos style love at Celtic?

If Postecoglou leaves Celtic with even half as much admiration he’ll have likely done a brilliant job. Forever family, they say. Superb.

Nobody knows if the 55-year-old can bring this kind of joy to Glasgow. At the very least though he comes across as a galvanising, inspirational figure who can really get to the heart of what makes a football club tick.

It’s fair to say that supporters have initially been sceptical about his suitability for the job. However, now he is in the door most are backing him. It’s the only real option.

If he can give us cause to celebrate him over the coming weeks and months then all the better.

For now, we watch our Japanese counterparts and hope that Ange can make us feel the same in a few years! Fingers and everything else crossed, for me.

In other news, Liam Delap to Celtic would still be genuinely exciting despite natural City Group cynicism.
