67 Hail Hail fans have had their say on TalkingPoints about Celtic’s January transfer window and they have sent a big message to Dermot Desmond.
Even though Desmond does not own Celtic, he is widely regarded as the shareholder who wields all the power in the Parkhead corridors.
What would you say to Dermot Desmond about Celtic’s transfer model now?
The Irish billionaire has come under some serious scrutiny at Celtic as the club sits third in the Scottish Premiership table behind Rangers and Hearts.
With Martin O’Neill crying out for reinforcements and Celtic signing just two players this January, fans have taken to TalkingPoints to tell Desmond exactly what they think with just over a week until the transfer window closes.

Celtic fans slam Desmond and the Parkhead board ‘puppets’
Celtic fans are deeply unhappy at watching the club stumble from one transfer window to the next and have let Desmond know all about it.
A Celtic fan is worried about Martin O’Neill and said, “Desmond and his cronies have ruined this club. They won’t spend on players and Martin O’Neill will be hung out to dry.
One Celtic supporter said, “If you are not really interested in Celtic why don’t you sell your shares to someone who is?
“You blamed Rodgers for Celtics demise but it’s totally down to the incompetence of you and that bunch of cowardly yes men you have as a board. Puppets more like.”
Another commented, “Completely and utterly ridiculous all we do is sell our best player in summer or January windows and downgrade when it comes to replacing them or not replacing them at all. Out now DD.”
However, one Parkhead supporter had a different point of view and said, “Do these guys never stop complaining. Celtic have won the last 4 league titles, God what if they had lost them!!!
“Spoiled comes to mind, they should get a life!! Hail Hail.”
But he was in the minority as another Celtic fan told Desmond, “Dermot, you’ve invested zero cash in Celtic in your tenure.
“You are now an embarrassment to Celtic FC. It’s time to put your shares on the market and leave a club you have no interest in.
“Take your board full of cronies with you and let Celtic be more ambitious, become the fans club we are and keep to our roots. You know nothing about Celtic. Desmond’s OUT!!”
Tensions are clearly running high as Celtic struggle domestically. With plenty of transfer business still needing to be done, Desmond could still turn the ill-feeling of fans around.
Where Celtic must strengthen this January
With Tomas Cvancara now bolstering the Celtic forward line, Martin O’Neill needs investment in other areas of the team.
A new right winger is required to help support and challenge Hyunjun Yang as well as a left-back to cover Kieran Tierney.
The return of Stephen Welsh from his Motherwell loan spell shows that depth is required in the central defensive areas too.
With much work required, the Celtic board and Desmond need to ensure they are working around the clock to support O’Neill and to stave off further ill-feeling from the fans.
