Some Celtic fans on social media were not impressed with the performance of Boli Bolingoli-Mbomobo in the Champions League qualifier against Cluj.
The left-back didn’t cover himself in glory as Cluj took the lead in the game thanks to a goal by Mario Rondon. The Celts eventually battled to a 1-1 draw in the game. However, some fans were critical of the recent signing from Rapid Vienna.
One fan went as far as to claim that the player was having a ‘nightmare’. Here are some of the best reactions from social media to Bolingoli’s performance:

Bolingoli seems to find an opposition player more times than he finds a celtic player

So often did Bolingoli struggle in the game that it was a bit of a surprise that he completed the 90 minutes. That decision almost paid off as a late Bolingoli header had to be saved by the goalkeeper.

Bolingoli did look more comfortable in attack than in defence. However, he did struggle when it came to the defensive part of the game.
It will be interesting to see if Bolingogi starts Saturday’s league match against Motherwell. If he does, it will show that Neil Lennon still has faith in the player.
With the impending departure of Kieran Tierney, Bolingoli looks set to Celtic’s number one left-back at the moment.
He will need to improve his performances if the Hoops sign another left-back, which seems inevitable.
