It has been a week of ups and downs for Celtic striker Vakoun Issouf Bayo. He finally scored his first goal for the Hoops with the winning goal in the 2-1 pre-season match against Wiener SC.
However, he has now been struck with injury, as Hoops boss Neil Lennon revealed that the player has a hamstring injury, the second injury of this kind he has had as a Celtic player.
Might well miss a number of games

Bayo is obviously going to miss the upcoming Champions League qualifier against Sarajevo. You would have to imagine that he will miss a number of other games too.
What he has to do now is make sure that the injury doesn’t derail his season. He has not yet had a chance to impose himself on the team, and he will be desperate to have a run of games in the side.

Lennon and staff must encourage player
Neil Lennon and the rest of the Hoops staff will have to work with Bayo to make sure that the injury issues don’t affect his game.

It could be a make or break season for the player, as he will be looking to establish himself in the Hoops team after a slow start to his Celtic career.
At the moment however, injuries are preventing Bayo from getting a foothold in the side. Hopefully the injury issues will soon resolve themselves and the player can get a run of games for the Hoops.
