Celtic are now scrambling over the line to get deals done before the transfer clock finally stops.
The powers that be in the Celtic boardroom have until 11 pm UK time on September 1 to finalise some much-needed deals.
All summer long, Brendan Rodgers has been crying out for more energy, dynamism and attacking quality in the final third.
Several names have been linked to join Celtic, with very few coming through the door, as Michel-Ange Balikwisha made his debut in the Glasgow derby on Sunday.
But perhaps there is a familiar name, who did wonders for Celtic, that could help ease the pressure on Rodgers in the final third.

Celtic should re-sign Patrick Roberts ahead of Sunderland exit on transfer deadline day
Patrick Roberts signed for Celtic as a fresh-faced teenager, and he went on to star during a dominant period for the club.
Since those days at Parkhead, the 28-year-old has tried to make a name for himself, including helping Sunderland earn promotion to the Premier League last season.
But with Sunderland, who have won two out of their three opening matches, splashing the cash and bidding to survive this summer, it looks as though they will part ways with the player on transfer deadline day, and Celtic should be all over it.
It has been suggested that English Championship side Derby County are keen on Roberts, so why not return to Glasgow?!
Roberts’ record at Celtic
Let’s be honest, Celtic loves a returning hero; just look at Rodgers, Kieran Tierney, and Jota, so why not add Roberts to the list?
He is still at the peak of his powers and would more than certainly help Celtic in the final third because he was immense the last time he was here.
Added to that, he understands Rodgers’ system down to a tee, so from a settling-in aspect, he won’t need much time because a lot of things would be familiar to him.
