Celtic manager Neil Lennon has been named the Scottish Premiership manager of the month award for August, the club announced on Tuesday.
It’s a well deserved achievement for a boss who, up until Sunday, had been under severe pressure.
A UEFA Champions League exit to Cluj had raised serious questions about his management, but in the league we’ve been flawless.
During August we beat St Johnstone 7-0, Motherwell 5-2 and Hearts 3-1.
It’s a tremendous record that demonstrates we are intent on continuing our dominance of domestic football after last year’s treble.
Lennon has now won the award in the top-flight a massive 12 times, first receiving the accolade back September 2010 after another particularly bright start to the domestic season.
Adding our derby win over Rangers at the start of this month to prior results, we are now three points clear at the top of the table.
Although all our focus will be on the next match against Hamilton Accies, the award is nice time to reflect on what we’ve managed to do in the first part of the season.

The international break now gives Lennon, and members of the squad not jetting off, time to regroup and steel themselves for big challenges ahead, chiefly the UEFA Europa League group stage.
Fans were delighted to hear that Lennon received the honour, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts this week…
