Celtic and Neil Lennon deserve credit for the good start they’ve made to the new season.
We may just be two competitive matches into the new campaign but already the signs are promising. We’ve swotted aside a dangerous outfit in Sarajevo with a bit to spare, and for that Lennon and his team should be commended.

The Bosnians may not be a Champions League group stage quality team. Nor may they be of Europa League standard. But they are the trickiest side we’ve faced in our first European hurdle in several years.
These games can be fraught with danger at the best of times. Just ask Brendan Rodgers who lost his first competitive clash to minnows Lincoln Red Imps in 2016. Many had fears that Lennon could go one better and lose the tie to Sarajevo, and they will have been pleasantly surprised with what they saw.

The Celtic squad have made a good start
Our defence isn’t in the best of shape at the moment but it will probably be pretty unrecognisable once the league campaign gets underway. Jozo Simunovic’s upcoming suspension should give Christopher Jullien the chance to make his mark on the team and that can only be a good thing.
Added to that, a right-back is likely to join soon while Kieran Tierney is to return from injury should he stay at the club this summer.
Our midfield is looking sharp while Tom Rogic and Olivier Ntcham could strengthen it further. Meanwhile, the wings are where all the competition seems to be with Marian Shved and James Forrest set to battle it out on the right hand side and Mikey Johnston, Lewis Morgan and Scott Sinclair all jousting for the left berth.

Up front we have Leigh Griffiths back and Odsonne Edouard looking sharp. Vakoun Issouf Bayo looked good in pre-season while Lennon could also look to strengthen the position further.
All in all, things look pretty positive right now. A lot could change in the coming weeks as our season is mapped out. But for now it’s looking rosy.
It’s time for a bit of positivity about what’s to come.
