Celtic boss Neil Lennon should be looking closely at signing a player who will be soon be leaving his club. West Ham recently announced that goalkeeper Adrian will be leaving the club when his contract expires at the end of June.
The news of his impending departure wasn’t a surprise, as he had been limited to only eight games this season. However, in his time with the Hammers he has proven to be very good goalkeeper.
Provide competition

He seems like the ideal player to provide competition to Scott Bain in the Hoops goal. Indeed, it could be argued that he is more than capable of replacing Bain in the Hoops side.
The question that has to be asked though – can the Hoops afford the player’s wages? You would imagine that he would be on more than decent money at West Ham.

Would consider a new challenge
However, perhaps he would like to come to Scotland for first-team football. Perhaps he would like a new challenge in a new country.

The odds of the player joining the Hoops might not be great. But Adrian is definitely a player that Neil Lennon should consider making his first Celtic signing.
It would be a statement of intent that the Hoops are planning to improve their squad in every department. Chances are that Lennon and Celtic haven’t put Adrian on a shortlist of possible signings, but they should as he would be a welcome addition to the squad.
