For the second season in a row it looks as if Celtic have missed out on a transfer involving an exciting Scottish talent.
Last summer it was John McGinn, this summer it is David Turnbull. The circumstances might be slightly different when it comes to the deals.
Does not look good

Celtic have ‘walked away‘ from the Turnbull deal, which didn’t happen with McGinn. However, it does not look good to miss out on transfer targets two years in a row.
The Celtic support are unlikely to be impressed about the situation. Therefore, it is important that the board react to the Turnbull deal collapsing with some positive transfer news.

New signings would be morale boost
The Hoops are back in action in the Champions League qualifiers in less than three weeks time. It would be good for the morale of the support if some new faces were at the club by the time the first round tie against Sarajevo is played.

Neil Lennon will want new signings in. He must have wanted Turnbull to sign, otherwise he wouldn’t have told the club to sanction the bid. It will be interesting to hear his opinion on the deal not being done.
If the Hoops manage to bring in some new faces quickly, the Turnbull deal will be forgotten about. If not, the inability to get the deal done, for whatever reason, won’t be forgotten about by the fans.
