Sunderland’s former Celtic midfield Dyaln McGeouch has admitted that he hasn’t had the best of seasons at the League One club.
He has revealed, as reported by the Daily Record, that he has a ‘big decision’ to make about his future at the Stadium of Light.
The problem for McGeouch is that he hasn’t played enough games for Sunderland. He made only 30 appearances for the Black Cats this season.
Would Hoops be interested?

Should he decide to leave Sunderland this season, there will undeniably be clubs interested in the player. The question has to be asked – could one of those clubs be Neil Lennon’s Celtic?
Lennon gave McGeouch his debut in the Celtic team during his first spell as Hoops manager. More significantly, he was a key man for Lennon when the duo were at Hibernian.

There is no doubt that McGeough is a player that Lennon admires. It would not be a shock if he made overtures about taking the player back to Celtic.
Couldn’t hold down regular place in side

Would McGeouch want to return though? He left Celtic in the first place as he couldn’t down a regular place in the side.
Still, he has only improved as a player since then, and Lennon helped him play the best football of his career at Hibs.
When Neil Lennon hands his list of transfers to the Celtic board, don’t be surprised to see McGeouch near the top of the list.
