Celtic fans have once again been informed of the club’s great wealth.

The Bhoys have been placed in the list of the world’s richest football clubs.

The list, compiled by Deloitte Football Money, has Celtic as between the 40th and 50th richest club in the world.

Interestingly, bitter rivals Rangers are not placed in the top 50.

Whilst this might make for good copy for the likes of Peter Lawwell, it won’t impress fans.

The fans see a club which desperately needs a new right-back, and at least one centre-back.

The support also sees a club which saw the manager and chief executive at loggerheads during the summer.

Celtic’s summer transfer window, despite the record signing of Odsonne Edouard, wasn’t a success.

It culminated in the Champions League Qualifiers exit to AEK Athens.

Despite some decent loan signings and the recent permanent signing of Vakoun Issouf Bayo, there is a fear that Celtic won’t splash the cash this January.

With the Hoops in the middle of a title race, all the plaudits and rich lists in the world won’t mean a thing if the league isn’t won.

It’s time for Celtic to start acting like a big club and make this transfer window count.
