If Neil Lennon is looking to bolster his attacking options this summer then he should go after Gboly Ariyibi too. The Nottingham Forest man spent the second half of the season on loan at Fir Park. He started every game under Stephen Robinson and netted two goals.

One of those strikes was the controversial one ‘Well scored at Celtic Park in February. Ariyibi supplied the finishing touch after the Steelmen refused to return the ball following a Celtic injury.

Worth a punt?

The youngster has been capped at youth level by the USA and clearly has ability. His direct running would be a boost to any side. He’s out of contract at Forest this time next year so Celtic could probably acquire him for a low fee if they so desired.

Celtic’s current array of left-wingers makes a move for Ariyibi unlikely though. Lewis Morgan, Mikey Johnston, Scott Sinclair, Jonny Hayes and Daniel Arzani can all play in that position so there isn’t a great need for a further recruit.
