David Turnbull isn’t the only Motherwell player from this season that Celtic should be keeping a watchful eye on.

If Neil Lennon is looking to bolster his attacking options this summer then he should go after Gboly Ariyibi too. The Nottingham Forest man spent the second half of the season on loan at Fir Park. He started every game under Stephen Robinson and netted two goals.

The youngster has been capped at youth level by the USA and clearly has ability. His direct running would be a boost to any side. He’s out of contract at Forest this time next year so Celtic could probably acquire him for a low fee if they so desired.

Celtic’s current array of left-wingers makes a move for Ariyibi unlikely though. Lewis Morgan, Mikey Johnston, Scott Sinclair, Jonny Hayes and Daniel Arzani can all play in that position so there isn’t a great need for a further recruit.
