Celtic have a squad full of international stars and it’s little wonder why.
Brendan Rodgers’ side are serial winners and have established players in their ranks who have played at the highest level for both club and country through their careers.
Only this week were Auston Trusty and Cameron Carter-Vickers called up for USA squad while the likes of Anthony Ralston was brought into Steve Clarke’s Scotland set-up.
The Scots boss, however, has made some questionable choices throughout the rest of his squad who play Greece later this month in their Nations League playoff tie.
Luke McCowan was left out of the Scotland squad which had fans scratching their heads considering his experience in the Champions League as well as his form in the Scottish Premiership for Celtic.

Greg Taylor was left out of Scotland’s squad vs Greece
And there has been another glaring omission in the form of left-back Greg Taylor that does not make much sense from a Hoops perspective.
Taylor has done well this season, all things considered, and has been Rodgers’ first choice pick at left-back for the vast majority of the campaign. The 27-year-old has made 35 appearances in green and white this season with seven assists and one goal to his name.
That is stats not to be sniffed at especially considering Scotland don’t create too many opportunities. Granted, Andy Robertson is the captain and will always start for his country, but for Taylor not to be involved at all when there are five recognised centre-halves in the squad for just two fixtures is arguably bad planning.
Kieran Tierney has also played centre-half for the country more often than not under Clarke and the boss has his favourites anyway, so there will certainly be defenders who won’t kick a ball in the March 20 and 23 double-header.

Taylor’s Celtic form this season and why Clarke may have omitted defender
It is fair to say that Taylor has not hit the heights this season as we’ve come to expect from the Greenock lad.
But he deserves to be among the national squad putting up a fight for a few minutes here and there.
He is a consistent, level-headed and reliable option in his position and he’d definitely have liked to add to his 14 caps.
More time to train with Celtic’s squad during the break, at least, which should benefit the full-back who is out of contract later this summer and has Dinamo Zagreb interest in dealing him in.
