Celtic legend Chris Sutton has paid the ultimate compliment to his former Hoops strike partner Henrik Larsson.
Sutton named Larsson as the best player he has ever seen live when answering the question on Twitter.

It is no real surprise to see Sutton go for Larsson as his choice. The pair combined to devastating effect at Celtic. Under the management of Martin O’Neill, the duo were at the heart of Celtic’s treble winning team of 2000-01, the club’s first domestic treble in over 30 years.
Duo were key to UEFA Cup run
The pair were also key to Celtic’s run to the UEFA Cup final in 2003, with Larsson scoring 11 goals in the run.
There probably hasn’t been a strike partnership at Celtic as good as Larsson and Sutton in the 15 years since Larsson has left the club.
Since then, the Hoops have had many strikers. Some have been excellent players.
Few players have lived up to striker
The likes of Gary Hooper and Scott McDonald scored plenty of goals for the Hoops. But very few players have lived up to Larsson, or indeed Sutton.
In the current Celtic side, perhaps only Scott Brown will reach the same legendary status that Larsson has at the club.
That is testament to how good Larsson was for Celtic. The fact he joined Barcelona after leaving Celtic tells you all need to know about Larsson as a player. He was that good.
