Could it be all change on the goalkeeping front at Celtic Park this summer? We already know that Dorus De Vries will be leaving in the summer.
His contract expires in the summer, and he will be allowed to leave for free. That move makes sense as he was unlikely to challenge Scott Bain as number one.
With Conor Hazard and Ross Doohan possibly set to return to the club, the Hoops will have plenty of goalkeepers on their books.

Follow player out of club
The one player that has not been mentioned yet is former Hoops number one Craig Gordon. It will be best for the player and the club if he followed De Vries out of Celtic Park.
Gordon has gone from being a first-team mainstay to not even featuring in the squad. The chances of him replacing Scott Bain under Neil Lennon’s management seem remote.

Still time on contract
Therefore, he will need to move on if he wants to play first-team football. He might not be on the move yet though, as he still has a year to run on his contract at the club.

However, the club and the player could agree to pay up the last year of the deal, and allow Gordon to move on. That would be the best move for all parties.
It would allow the Hoops to perhaps bring in a new number two goalkeeper, or Hazard or Doohan could step up to that role.
Overall Craig Gordon has done well for the Hoops, but it is time to move on.
