It would not be a shock to see Celtic add a third striker to their ranks this summer. Indeed, manager Neil Lennon has claimed it is a ‘priority‘ for the club.
He is correct. Particularly when you consider that the only natural striker that was available for large parts of last season was Odsonne Edouard.
Look to add another forward

At least he will be joined by Leigh Griffiths when he returns next season. However, the Hoops will still be looking to add another striker to the side.
One player that should be under consideration is the recent Scotland call-up, Kilmarnock’s Eamonn Brophy.
Now, some people might consider the number of goals Brophy scored last season – 12 – not enough for a team like Celtic.

Get more scoring chances at Celtic
However, if he played for the Hoops he would presumably get more chances to find the back of the net as Celtic are usually on the front foot.

Also, adding another striker to the squad will prevent situations like last seasons when Mikey Johnston was forced to play up-front as a striker against Rangers.
With Celtic possibly fighting for four fronts next season, the squad needs additions. Brophy has shown what he can do for Kilmarnock on a regular basis.
Can he take the step up in class to make it at Celtic? Only time will tell but he is certainly an option the Hoops should consider.
