Celtic seem to have recovered from their 1-0 loss to Rangers in December.

The Hoops moved clear at the top of the league with a 4-0 win over St Mirren on Wednesday.

One player who didn’t feature in the win over St Mirren is Olivier Ntcham.

He suffered an injury during the winter break, but Brendan Rodgers recently revealed he will be back in training soon.

When Ntcham does return, he will have it all to prove after a very poor performance in the loss to Rangers.

It was arguably his worst performance in a Celtic jersey.

Ntcham is capable of far better however.

He dominated the first Old Firm derby of the season, scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win.

On his day he is the best midfielder in Scotland, but at times he hasn’t shown that this season.

Perhaps transfer speculation has affected his form.

He has been linked with a big money move to Porto.

Indeed, former Hoops striker John Hartson wouldn’t be shocked if Ntcham moved on this January.

However, for now he is still a Celtic player.

If he wants to get back into the side he will have to up his game when he makes his return from injury.
