One player who seems to have been forgotten about at Celtic Park is Youssouf Mulumbu, who has returned to the club after a loan spell at Kilmarnock.
You would have to imagine that his future will be sorted out sooner rather than later. Kilmarnock will no doubt be eager to have him back once they have a new manager in place.
Different situation?
Brendan Rodgers didn’t seem to trust the player, even though he signed him for the club in the first place. Could the situation be different under Neil Lennon?
For a start, Lennon has never managed the player. His first glimpse of the player will be when pre-season training begins.
Could be involved in qualifiers
Perhaps if Mulmubu impresses then, he could be involved in the pre-season friendlies that the Hoops have scheduled.
Who knows, should he impresses in those games he could be involved in the Champions League qualifiers. There is a place for Mulumbu in the Celtic squad.
He could easily replace Scott Brown in the side if the Hoops captain was injured or in need of a rest. Mulumbu could easily be a squad player, or even more for the club.
However, it will come down to Neil Lennon and the Hoops coaching staff. They will make the final decision on Mulumbu’s future. You never know, he could end up having a decent career for the club.
