Does Oliver Ntcham still have a future with Celtic? The team’s selected by Neil Lennon in the next few games could give an indication of that.

The midfielder recently returned to the Hoops fold after an intriguing summer, in which he indicated that he wanted to leave the Hoops.

However, he is still at the club, and made his first appearance of the season in the 5-0 win over Nomme Kalju. He marked his substitute appearance with an assist.

Lennon seems to have forgiven Ntcham for his outburst, but the player’s remarks won’t have sit well with fans or team-mates.

However, on his day Ntcahm is one of the best players in Scotland. Therefore, you can understand why Lennon wants to keep the player if possible.

We shall know about Ntcham’s future with the club in the weeks to come. If he is selected for the team that will play in the third round Champions League qualifier against Cluj or Maccabi Tel-Aviv then he will be a key man for the Hoops this season.

Should he miss out on those games then he may be stuck on the fringes of the Hoops side. That wouldn’t be any good to the player or the club.

Ntcham still has plenty to offer Celtic. But the manager will decide his fate at the club one way or the other. The player’s future prospects at the club will become clearer as the Hoops’ Champions League campaign continues.
