There is some good news for Celtic fans regarding an upcoming fixture. Perhaps it would have been expected that the Hoops’ Betfred Cup match against Dunfermline would have been selected for television coverage.
However, this is not the case. The club have confirmed that the game will take place on Saturday the 17th of August with a three o’clock kick-off.
That news should be warmly welcomed by the Hoops support. It is not often that Celtic have domestic cup games at three o’clock on a Saturday.
Kick-off time may improve attendance

The timing of the fixture could well improve the attendance too. It has to be said it is unlikely that the game will sell out.
There are too many big games for Celtic at the moment for that to happen. The Champions League qualifiers for one.
Fans more willing to attend three pm start

However, fans will be more eager to go the game it is at the normal kick-off time. If the game had been at lunchtime and on television, fans probably would not attend.
Therefore, it would be a good idea to keep ticket prices down for the game. That would ensure that the game will be played with a decent attendance.
The Hoops will not want to give up easily on a trophy that they have won for the last three seasons. Neil Lennon will make sure of that. With the confirmed kick-off time, the chances of their being a decent crowd have increased.
