Former Celtic hero Tony Watt has taken to Twitter to declare Jeremie Frimpong as his new favourite Hoops players after yesterday’s match against Aberdeen at Pittodrie.
Watt knows a bit about producing hype as a young player at Celtic after his unforgettable goal against Barcelona in the Champions League.
He was clearly impressed by the teenager yesterday after a brilliant performance and charismatic post-match interview.
Step aside James Forrest, ive got a new favourite player ❤️🤠🤣 what an interview 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 https://t.co/KoGfEQcvCg

Watt’s comment may be somewhat tongue in cheek and a reaction to the BT Sport in particular, but on the pitch Frimpong has made a big impression too.
The youngster has come into Neil Lennon’s side with absolutely no fear and appears to be loving every moment of his first steps into senior football.
He was superb on his debut in the League Cup against Partick Thistle, creating an assist. Against Ross County too he set up James Forrest to score. Yesterday at Aberdeen he was superb throughout, combining with Odsonne Edouard expertly to net the first goal of his career.
Arriving from Manchester City during the summer transfer window for a reported £350,000, if he keeps his initial form up he’ll go down as one of the best signings of the summer.
Watt may not be the only person he converts by the end of the season either.
