Celtic legend Kenny Dalglish has predicted Neil Lennon’s side will win the Scottish Premiership season, The Sunday Post report.

The Scottish football icon had been waiting until the first derby of the season to commit one way or the other about who’d be lifting the title this term.

Clearly the performance of Lennon’s men has impressed him.

Now he can’t see past the Hoops, believing Rangers have too much work to do to stop us.

As quoted by The Sunday Post, he said: “I promised you back on July 28 that this morning I would reveal who I think will win the title

“So I have to say there is no doubt Celtic will take a bit of stopping. Indeed, I’m struggling to see a side out there that will beat them this season.

“And I include Rangers in that. They remain the biggest threat to Celtic, but they still have an awful lot of work to do.”

Will we coast to another title?

At the moment it certainly appears we have the strongest team and the strongest manager in the league. Much was said prior to our Ibrox victory but Lennon proved what his side are all about with a ruthless 90 minutes of action.

There’s a lot of work to do yet though and no-one at Celtic will be looking beyond the upcoming match against Hamilton next week.

One blip against Cluj aside, we’ve been incredibly consistent this season. Lennon’s team have that same machine-like determination to pick up results by whatever means necessary, that’s been the case since February in our biggest matches.

If we can maintain then then Dalglish is right, no-one will be able to stop us.
