His beautifully taken chested opener was cancelled out by Lewis Ferguson. However, with only six minutes remaining, Jota popped up to stab home a crucial winner that has confidence returning to Celtic Park once again.

But it wasn’t just his goal that had Celtic fans swarming to hail Kyogo once again. It was also the passion he showed after Jota stuck in that vital goal in the closing stages.

What makes this so important for Celtic fans is what it shows regarding the bigger picture. It seems trivial at face value to discuss a player celebrating a goal his team scored. But it’s the passion for the cause that will delight Hoops supporters.

There’s a humbleness to Furuhashi that we’ve seen ever since he’s arrived. From being selfless in front of goal to picking up litter on his way off the pitch – he has a personality that the Celtic support can admire.

He’s the kind of player that can unite a football club. Unite a fanbase out of their sheer love for him. His celebrations mirrored that of a Kris Ajer for example, a player who consistently showed how much every game meant to him. Furuhashi appears to be cut from the same cloth.

And as the Hoops fans reacted to his celebrations post-match, they couldn’t help but highlight the passion shown by Kyogo:
