Celtic could be doing with adding another goalkeeper to their ranks. Dorus De Vries is set to leave the club, whilst doubts remain over Craig Gordon’s future with the Hoops.
Therefore, a player to provide competition to Scott Bain would be a useful addition to the side. Interestingly, one such player is now available – Michel Vorm.

The former Swansea goalkeeper was recently released by Tottenham after his contract expired. He had slipped down to third choice goalkeeper at Spurs, and as a result was allowed to leave the club.
As a result of his release Vorm can now talk to other clubs. Celtic should be one of those clubs. Vorm was an excellent goalkeeper for Swansea. However,he was always going to have a hard time dislodging Hugo Lloris from the Spurs goal.

Provide plenty of competition
Vorm would provide competition to Bain should he join the Hoops. For a start, he would replace De Vries in the Hoops squad.

He could also end up replacing Gordon should he leave Celtic in the summer. Should Bain suffer an injury or a loss of form, it would be good to have a vastly experienced replacement on the bench.
Vorm can be that replacement. It will be interesting to see if Neil Lennon elects to sign a goalkeeper this summer.
He could be satisfied with the goalkeeping situation at the club. However, should he want to bring a new goalkeeper to the club, Vorm could be that man.
