Celtic’s recent 5-0 win over Nomme Kalju was a highly successful day for the Hoops. The victory all but guaranteed the side a place in the third round of the Champions League qualifiers.
An added bonus was the return from injury of Mikey Johnston. The Hoops attacker made his comeback as a first-half substitute replacing Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo.
Played well on return to side

Johnston played well in his time on the pitch, constantly trying to create chances for the Hoops. So good was Johnston’s performance that it seems only a matter of time before he gets back into the first-team.
That is something that must be crossing Neil Lennon’s mind. He will be eager to get Johnston back into the starting line-up.
Indeed, it could be argued that is a move he must make. The second leg against Nomme Kalju seems like the ideal game to reintroduce Johnston to the starting line-up.
Should keep place in starting line-up

Should Johnston turn in a good performance, he should keep his place in the starting line-up going forward.
He was in excellent form before he suffered his injury. Now he is back and raring to go, and he is just one of a number of exciting attacking players the Hoops have in their side.
If Johnston can keep up this run of form for the foreseeable future, it will be the best season of his career so far.
