The next few weeks could prove to be very intriguing when it comes to Tierney’s future at Celtic. Should Napoli, or Arsenal, or any other side bid for the player the Hoops would have a decision to make.

Celtic should look to resist any offers that come in for the player. Tierney is too important to the team to be sold off.

Fans would be unforgiving if player was sold

The Celtic support would be unforgiving if one of their key men was sold, particularly one who is a Celtic fan like Tierney.

It could come down to how much money is offered for the player. If an interested party offer around £20 million for the player, Celtic could be tempted to sell.

Should a bidding war take place, they might be even more tempted. Hopefully Neil Lennon or another senior Celtic figure will address these rumours sooner rather than later.

‘The player is not for sale’ will be what fans want the club to state about Tierney’s immediate future. Tierney may leave Celtic at some stage. But now is not the time to sell the player. Any bid has to be turned down.
