Celtic boss Neil Lennon has announced the Hoops side which will take on St Mirren at Celtic Park. The team, which was disclosed on the club’s Twitter account, is as follows:
Starting XI: Forster, Bitton, Jullien, Ajer; Brown, Forrest, Rogic, McGregor, Taylor; Griffiths, Edouard
Substitutes: Gordon, Elhamed, Frimpong, Hayes, Christie, Elyounoussi, Bayo
Celtic go into the game with a very healthy 13 point lead over Rangers at the top of the Premiership table, but manager Neil Lennon won’t be taking anything for granted.

That is why he has selected a very strong side. He will want the three points picked up to put even more pressure on the Ibrox side before they take on Ross County on Sunday.
Looking for better performance than in midweek
However, it is all about what Celtic do, and Lennon will be looking for a better performance than the one Celtic turned in against Livingston in midweek.
The Hoops’ performances seems to have dropped a level in recent weeks, but the Hoops are more than capable of coming back to form with a vengeance, and hopefully that happens against St Mirren.

With the next Glasgow derby just over a week away, and with the Hoops not in midweek action, Lennon will want his side to send a message to the rest of Scottish football, that they are still the best team in the country, and an emphatic win would prove that.
Team is good enough to provide emphatic win
The team selected by the Hoops manager should be good enough to provide the Hoops with that emphatic win.
Some Celtic fans on social media gave their reaction to the team that was selected by Lennon.
