No excuses for Celtic not to spend if they receive astronomical fee for Ntcham

One of the most intriguing transfer sagas of the summer looks to be that of Olivier Ntcham and his future with Celtic.

It seems that Celtic could be willing to let the player leave the club. France Football are reporting that the asking price the Hoops have placed on the midfielder is between 15 and 17 million Euros.

With Marseille and Porto reportedly interested in the player, the Hoops could make big money from any possible sale.

No excuse not to spend

Should Celtic receive the fee they demand for the player, there is no excuse not to spend the money in the summer transfer window.

It would be a real statement of intent if the Hoops spent the entire Ntcham fee on some players who could take the team to another level.

Didn’t spend much of Dembele cash

Is that likely to happen? Celtic haven’t always spent big after receiving huge transfer fees. They didn’t after receiving the money from the Moussa Demeble deal.

You would think though that with the Hoops on the verge of nine then 10 in a row, they would push the boat out to make sure the title stays at Celtic Park.

It doesn’t always work out that way though. Of course, Celtic might decide to keep Ntcham and render all the talk about his fee meaningless for the moment.

If the player is sold though, the fee should be spent as soon as it becomes available.
