Celtic have begun talks with Motherwell over a move for David Turnbull, according to a report. The Daily Record has disclosed that the Hoops have an ‘official enquiry’ for the player to the Fir Park side.
However, the report goes on to say that nine other clubs are interested in signing Turnbull, but that Celtic are the only Scottish club interested.
Lodge bid sooner rather than later

If the Hoops want to get the deal done, they will need to lodge a bid sooner rather than later. It seems that there could be a bidding war for the player, as so many teams are reportedly interested in Turnbull.
The Hoops support will not want to see the club miss out on a promising player for the second year in a row.

Last season Celtic missed out on John McGinn. McGinn has gone on to be a key man for Aston Villa. He was vital in helping them gain promotion to the Premier League.
Can’t make same mistake again
Celtic can’t afford to make the same mistake again. Not only would Neil Lennon not be happy, but the club’s supporters would be angry.

If Celtic want to sign the player up, it is time for Peter Lawwell and the rest of the Hoops board to indicate that Turnbull is a player that the club really want.
That might mean paying over the odds for the player. If that is what it takes to get the player to Celtic Park, so be it.
