Two English sides look set to battle Celtic for the services of free agent striker Gary Hooper. The Scottish Sun is reporting that both Fulham and Aston Villa are interested in the player, who was recently released by Sheffield Wednesday.
The report goes on to claim that the player is ‘keen’ on making a return to Celtic Park.
It was recently reported that should Neil Lennon get the Celtic manager’s job on a permanent basis Hooper is one of the players he is eager to sign for the club.

Potential Premier League side express interest
It is intriguing to note that a team that could be playing in the Premier League next season are interested in Hooper.
Aston Villa are currently in the Championship play-offs. They must believe that Hooper is still capable of contributing at the highest level, the English Premier League.

It is more than likely at Villa he would be a squad player. If he moved to Fulham, who were just relegated to the Championship, he would probably be a starter most weeks there.
Most likely a squad player

Would Hooper start most weeks for Celtic? Probably not.
Unlike his first spell at the club, he would not be the main striker. The main striker at the club is Odsonne Edouard, and Hooper would not displace him in the side.
Still, it does seem for sure that Hooper will be on the move this summer. Only time will tell if that move will be a return to Celtic.
