One player who has divided opinion amongst the Celtic support this season more than most has been Norwegian international Mohamed Elyounoussi.

Returning to the Hoops from English Premier League side Southampton on loan at the beginning of 2020/21, he has experienced a mixed time of things so far and will be looking to finish as strongly as possible, before making a decision on his imminent future in the summer months.
Having been previously been rumoured to be available for a cut price fee of £5 million, Celtic should grab any possibility with both hands should any opportunity arise for an approach.
Despite not having an outstanding time of things, the 26-year-old has notched a respectable 14 goals from 37 appearances this campaign including the delayed Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen last November. This demonstrates his instinctual nature in-front of goal which Celtic could definitely benefit from in 2021/22.
He is comfortably the second top scorer at the club behind Odsonne Edouard, achieving all this whilst being routinely moved out of position under previous manager Neil Lennon into unfamiliar central territory.
Playing in a striking role has undoubtedly diluted his attacking influence on the Parkhead side, the Norwegian performs best when given the freedom to come in from the left-hand side of the field and link up with centre-forwards, which has seen him record a further 6 assists in 2020/21.
The winger could be an exceptional piece of business if utilized in the right system due to his footballing intelligence. 20 goal contributions in 37 fixtures is genuinely a really impressive figure for someone who has went through something of a stop-start campaign. Under the right management, Elyounoussi could well become the Hoops prize asset should they choose to swoop for him on a permanent basis.
