We continue our season review of the Celtic players who featured in 2018/19 with a look at Celtic’s number 52 Ewan Henderson.
Ewan Henderson can be very pleased with his breakthrough season as a Celtic midfielder. The starlet made six appearances for the Hoops first-team – and in those games he had three assists.
Excels at picking out pass

That tells you all need to know about the talent Henderson has. He is particularly good at picking out a pass to a team-mate.
Celtic obviously rate the player highly. He signed a long-term contract with the Hoops in January. However, a problem for Henderson could be a lack of game time.

The Hoops have plenty of midfielders in their squad. That number could be added to when David Turnbull competes his move to Celtic.
Lack of game time could be an issue

That could mean less game time for a player who needs games to continue his development as a player.
Perhaps the solution to that problem could be a loan move away from the Hoops. Players like Ryan Christie and Kristoffer Ajer have thrived after a loan spell away from Celtic.
That could be the case with Henderson. If he doesn’t often feature for Celtic in the first-half of next season a loan deal could be the best thing for the player.
Henderson looks to be a player with a big future in the game. Hopefully that will be at Celtic.
