Jeremie Frimpong is undeniably starting to turn into one of the stories of the Celtic season. The right-back, who joined the Hoops from Manchester City in the summer, has become a first-team regular in recent weeks despite being only 18.
He has displayed a fearless nature in his performances for the Hoops, and this trait continued with another excellent display in the game against Livingston, which Celtic won 4-0.
He created plenty of chances for the Hoops in the game, as he got up and down the wing causing Livingston all kinds of problems with his cutbacks. Indeed, he put a chance on a plate for Tom Rogic with an excellent pass, but he didn’t find the back of the net. He also played a part in Celtic’s third goal, which was scored by James Forrest.
Frimpong has scored one goal so far this season, but you have to imagine that whilst he is in the team he will get chances to find the back of the net.
“Absolutely superb”

Some Celtic fans on social media were impressed with Frimpong’s performance. One fan described him as ‘absolutely superb’.
Here are some of the best reactions from social media to Frimpong’s display against Livingston:

Frimpong’s performances for the Hoops have been so good that Neil Lennon may be regretting not selecting him for Celtic’s Europa League squad.
Unfortunate that player miss game against Rennes

However, Moritz Bauer will be available in Frimpong’s absence against Rennes, and you have to imagine that Frimpong will return to the Celtic team for next week’s game against Ross County.
Frimpong has passed every test he has faced as a Celtic player so far. There could his biggest one yet in a few weeks when Celtic take on Rangers in the Betfred Cup Final.
Would Neil Lennon trust the player to start in a Glasgow derby? The answer should be ‘yes’. Frimpong looks like he could be a vital player for the Hoops in that game, and he should start if required.
