Some Celtic fans aren’t happy with Australia manager Graham Arnold’s plans to use Tom Rogic in an upcoming World Cup Qualifier against Kuwait.

Rogic hasn’t featured for Celtic since the Scottish Cup final in May. He’s also missed the entirety of Neil Lennon’s pre-season preparations.

Only returning to full training last week, it’s yet to be determined if he is fit enough to play for Celtic on a regular basis, never mind Australia.

Arnold doesn’t appear to care though and could use him as early as September 10th.

As quoted by The Scottish Sun, he said: “We’re still monitoring Tommy and keeping an eye on him, but we think he will be fit for the match in Kuwait.

“He’s a big part of what we do and we always expect him to be ready to play for us.

“He has great commitment to the Socceroos, but overall he’s a great player for us and we expect he’ll be fit as soon as possible.”

Surely the best thing for his career right now is working hard to break into Celtic’s first-team?

It’s not as if he doesn’t have competition, with Ryan Christie having a storming start to the season.

Travelling halfway around the world and playing a match for Australia four days before a Hoops match doesn’t really seem appropriate given the action he has missed.

Some fans certainly aren’t happy, with this lot taking to Twitter on Wednesday to share their thoughts…
