Will Celtic buy another centre-back before the end of the transfer window? It’s possible. The Hoops have been linked with a few in the summer transfer window.
Neil Lennon personally scouted a player who could be a potential signing, Partizan Belgrade’s Strahinja Pavlovic.
Bid reportedly turned down

Meanwhile, the Hoops reportedly had a bid turned down for Aberdeen’s Scott McKenna earlier this summer. McKenna’s name has come up again as he has recently submitted a transfer request, but Aberdeen have rejected it.
Should Jozo Simunovic leave the club, and Lille are reportedly interested, then it looks certain that the Hoops will swoop for a centre-back.
Of the two players named, Pavlovic would be a better value signing than McKenna. For a start, Aberdeen have in the past reportedly wanted £10 million for their centre-back. That does not represent value for money.
It is unlikely that Celtic would spend that much on a defender. Particularly after spending £7 million on Christopher Jullien.
Age should also be a factor

Another factor to take into account is the ages of the player. Pavlovic is only 18, whereas McKenna is 22. That might not seem like a big difference, but by the time Pavlovic is 22, he could be sold on for a huge profit, hopefully by the Hoops.
Only time will tell if Celtic move for either of these players. The English transfer window closes in two days, we may more now after that.
However, if Celtic are keen to sign one of the players, then it should be Pavlovic.
