Celtic have had a proud history of bringing through players through the academy.
From walking down the Gallowgate to playing front of 60,000 fans at Celtic Park, it’s a dream to pull on the green and white.
Kieran Tierney is one those Celtic players fortunate to come through Lennoxtown and establish himself as a Hoops first-team regular.
However, one problem that has arisen over the years is continuing to be a recurring issue and needs to be addressed.

Celtic set to let young trio leave on a free transfer
According to the Daily Record, three Celtic youngsters, Joe Morrison, Alasdair Davidson and Lewis Dobbie are all set to leave Parkhead this summer.
Goalkeeper Morrison was a name on the bench during the 2023/24 Champions League campaign but has struggled to break into a first-team during a loan spell with Stenhousemuir.
The left-back Alasdair Davidson has made nine appearances for Celtic B this season but will move on and last but not least is forward Lewis Dobbie.
Dobbie’s best moment as a young Bhoy was an outrageous back heel against Rangers in the Scottish Youth Cup final during a 6-5 victory in May 2023.
Celtic must give the youth a chance
Everybody wants to see Celtic paying the big bucks to secure the best talent but nothing quite beats seeing one of your own come through.
Sadly, that’t not been happening and time and time again, it’s coming back to bite the club.
Sure, the likes of Rocco Vata and Ben Doak have flirted on the periphery of the first team but it’s never been enough.

They’ve moved on to pastures new and been given chances to develop and play senior football. It’s something that will not only save the club money, but also continue to provide an identity and a chance for one of our own to go on and become heroes.
