The first few weeks of the transfer window have been an extremely exciting time for the Celtic support.

Ange Postecoglou got to work early, bringing four new permanent additions to his squad ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.

Both Cameron Carter-Vickers and Jota made their returns after an excellent loan spell, whilst Ben Siegrist and Alexandro Bernabei arrived to add more numbers to the Hoops’ defensive options.

The Parkhead faithful have been left delighted at the efficient work done by Postecoglou and his staff so far in the window.

All four new arrivals joined just in time to jet off to Austria with the squad and will be fully prepared for the competitive season opener against Aberdeen at the end of this month.

We are all still buzzing at the deals conducted. However, supporters and Postecoglou alike realise that there is still work to be done over the coming weeks and months.

The Celtic manager remains on the hunt for potentially two or three more signings, including a new central defensive midfielder.

Although the opening few weeks of the transfer window might have seen the Bhoys complete their business swiftly, Celtic fans will likely have to be more patient for the rest of the club’s transfer dealings this summer.

As we have already experienced this month, the transfer window can be a thrilling time.

All Celtic fans love to hear the club linked with a new player and are desperate to see additions arrive. But, over the next few weeks, the Hoops action in the market may quieten down a little.

Whilst I have no doubt a few more bodies will arrive in the door before the beginning of September, I wouldn’t be expecting anything too soon.

The 56-year-old has already completed some crucial deals and will now take his time to access options in other areas, which may become available later in the window.

And I am sure the supporters will have full faith in Postecoglou’s ability in the market, given his impressive track record in his first three windows as manager.

It may not be the easiest thing in the world to do during the summer. But for now, we need to sit back, relax, and let the recruitment team get to work, being patient about any potential new arrivals.
