It is fair to say that Celtic’s 4-3 loss to Cluj in the Champions League qualifiers is a result that will stay with the Hoops support for a while.

Celtic should not be losing four goals at home to such a limited team. However, the game is in the past, and it is time to move on.

Thankfully, it is not all bad at Celtic at the moment. There are a trio of players at the club who can help the Hoops support move on from the loss to Cluj.

Here, we name the three players who can get Celtic back on track:

Undeniably Celtic’s player of the season so far. His goal against Cluj took his tally for the season to eight, which is remarkable when you consider that it is only August. He will be vital for the Hoops in the Europa League qualifiers and trip to Ibrox. If he is on his game, the Hoops have a real chance of winning a game.

The reigning player of the year has burst into life after a relatively quiet start to the season. He has scored three goals in his last three games, including two against Cluj. He will be looking to perform well at Ibrox at the start of September, a venue he has struggled at in the past.

Probably Celtic’s man of the match against Cluj, he definitely didn’t deserve to end up on the losing side. He scored and had two assists and was at the forefront of everything that was good about Celtic’s performances. It goes without saying that Edouard is going to be the main man for the Hoops this season.

Neil Lennon knows that he has some issues to resolve this season. Particularly when it comes to the Celtic defence. However, the Hoops will always have a chance to win a game if the three above players are on form. Celtic fans will know that, and will be eager to see the trio in action again soon.
